This is a FABULOUS book! I was a bit hesitant; the breast cancer part really hits home right now, but it turned into one of those books that you HAVE to read the next chapter, then the next, then the next and you can't put the book down until the end. Then, without warning, you are smiling, no, grinning, and you stay up the rest of the night thinking about how what she's going thru affects what's happening. Very satisfying read. Heart wrenching. Hard to put this one down. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good cry.
Very good thought provoking story. A very quick read because I couldn't put it down!
One of the best books I have read recently. You really feel for the characters. I had to read the ending twice. I will definitely read more books by this author.
WELL WRITTEN, GOOD CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. I liked this book enormously and can recommend it without reservation. Good and bad people and the lines get blurred as you get to know each of them.
I enjoyed this book - a nice and easy beach read with a few twists and turns.
I wasn't sure about this book as I started reading it but found it to be surprisingly compelling the more I read. Hudson Catalina is a very intriguing character with one major inner demon within herself that she's trying to compete against (or give in to). The way her past plays into her current situation was very interesting and I found the last half of the book to be intense and difficult to stop reading. I found Ruby and Willy Wu to be extremely likeable and loveable characters and the book itself was a true testament to love, friendship and forgiveness.
Captivating would be an excellent word to express how I felt about this book . From the moment I picked it up to the very last sentence I was moved and intrigued. Most organized series of events with attention to details made me truly feel as though I was by her side throughout all the events. I cannot wait for more from this accomplished author.
